I have a very significant (and unique) walk planned for my return to Scotland, and I'm keeping it under wraps until I'm en route but I'm so excited to share it with you when the time comes (August, Covid willing...) I've been planning it for years, and have already been writing the book that will follow.
One year ago today I took my first steps after 3 months of letting my broken heel bone mend itself. I know I might sound like a broken record sometimes, but I don't want to forget the things I learned and felt and overcame through that experience.
This flashback to the Highlands captures my current mood, shoulders squared to the next challenge. Big dreams are important, and its equally important to remember the falls and setbacks we took along the way in pursuit of those dreams. How we get back up after falling is just as important a milestone to our journey as the celebrated "wins."
To quote one of my favorite movies (Shawshank Redemption), "Get busy living or get busy dying." I hope you'll join me in staying busy living - you're worth it!
